  • After wearing these boots for hours in snowy, windy sub-zero cold weather, I found them to be the warmest pair of boots I ever owned. I opted for the Workday 3 with steel shanks. They felt a little heavy when I first picked them up but I never noticed it when wearing them. Having that added foot protection is important to me since I do a lot of work outdoors.

I gave them five stars since they are everything that I expected…tough, durable, comfortable and most importantly…WARM.

  • I am a real-life offshore worker. I have tried dozens of rubber boots over the years. These are serious offshore rubber boots. The are lined right up to the top with insulative material. Unlike the other (lesser quality) steel toe work boots on the market, the toe cup on these are built for mens feet. Plenty of room for thick socks and toe movement. Since Kamik only makes whole sizes, I recommend a 1/2 size DOWN for in between size people. That is, if you are a 10 1/2 order the 10, don’t size up. The rubber on these boots is thick and durable and the seems are the best I’ve seen in any of this type of boot I have seen. Well worth the money for commercial fishermen or offshore workers. Don’t skimp on boots!!!! Note that the only difference between the workday 2 and workday 3 series is that the 3 series also has a steel shank for people who are pushing down shovels with their mid-foot. If you are working offshore and just want a steel toe, stick with the 2 series. If you are doing land contruction or manhole work (i.e. ladder climbing in wet weather, shovel pushing) get the 3 series.
